Redefining My Blog For 2011

January 16, 2011 — Leave a comment

It’s been a handful of months since I started blogging and I’ve taken these last 7 days to reflect on the positive things that I’ve learned about myself and the influence that I can have on others.

I realized that I’ve blogged about very random things thus far and one of my goals for 2011 is to find more of a focus for my writing.

As you’ve probably noticed, my site design has changed. Here’s what it looked like in 2010:

2010

The header contained the four main categories:

  • Life
  • Ministry
  • Music
  • Life

In looking at these categories, I realized they were too broad and as a result, my posts would reflect this as well. Broad, random, and not focused on a specific audience.

So what’s changed? Here’s the new 2011 look (which will evolve as I continue to prune and fine tune the blog):

2011

As you can note, the header is the difference, along with the one of the categories. Even though it doesn’t seem very significant, the change from Media to Technology is a biggie.

Simply put, this blog will be about music and technology, with a focus on ministry. Since all three blend in with my personal life, occasionally I may also blog about my life.

Glad you’ve joined me on this journey!

What do you think of the logo (it’s a funnel, by-the-way)? I welcome your input and take your comments seriously.

Any topics you’d like me to cover in regards to music and technology in ministry? Hit me up in the comments.
