[This post is part of the Amazing Blogs and Websites For Worship Leaders series]
Much like yesterday’s post, today’s post is a double feature with Chris Vacher’s blog, ChrisFromCanada.com and WorshipRises.ca
He might not even know this, but Chris was the first new worship friend I connected with when I made the move from Montreal to Toronto in 2008. After spending some time with him, you can begin to see that he’s a leader and a BIG dreamer! He’s got an awesome blog, ChrisFromCanada.com, that I believe all Canadians and especially our Southern neighbours should be reading.
Chris blogs his thoughts on worship and church life with a northern perspective and he’s currently on a mission to connect with any one who has “worship leader/pastor” in their bio.
Help him out by connecting with him:
Chris is also the founder of Worship Rises whose mission is committed to developing worship resources for & from the Canadian church.
From the WorshipRises Facebook page:
WorshipRises is a growing community of Canadian worship pastors/leaders whose vision is to develop worship resources for & from the Canadian church. This vision is accomplished through a variety of exciting events & projects, the flagships of which are WorshipRises songwriting days.
At each of these dynamic songwriting days, Canadian worship leaders & pastors gather together to write and re-write in small groups: building friendships with other worship leaders & developing songs to be used in times of both personal and corporate worship. The hope is that these worship leaders will bring these songs home to their own congregations and share them with other church leaders in their community.
WorshipRises is spearheaded by Chris Vacher, Director of Worship at Orangeville Baptist Church, as a gathering place where Canadian worship leaders can foster community, celebrate the uniqueness of church music within Canadian culture and begin sharing worship resources across the country
I attended the latest songwriting event in Grimsby, ON and I loved not only the opportunity to write songs with other worship leaders, but to also connect with people that I had previously only known in the Twitterverse!
If haven’t already, be sure to connect with WorshipRises:
